Draymond Green On Loss To Clippers: “ We F***ing Sucked”

The Los Angeles Clippers have a lot to be excited about, and The Golden State Warriors are less than enthused with the results of their matchup played last night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. The Warriors came up short. Losing by a score of 141-122.

Both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green interviewed with the media after the game and were both critical of the team’s performance, saying that they “sucked”.

When asked if there were any positive takeaways from the game, Green said bluntly, “I’m not a moral victory type of guy. I’m not leaving this game looking for something to build off on. We f***ing sucked.” Then added, “And we gotta get better. I’m not a coach, so I’m not about to go watch a film and say, ‘Oh, well we can build on this.’ I really don’t give a damn about what we can build on. We sucked tonight, and we gotta get better overall. And that’s just what it is.”

Green was the most critical adding, “our defense was atrocious,” and according to ESPN via video added, “our defense was pathetic”. He also mentioned their performance was, “bad across the board.”

All-NBA guard Curry also mentioned the Warriors performance in a similar fashion to Green’s by saying they “sucked”.

Head coach Steve Kerr had the most professional take on the game, while putting things into perspective, he said, “Losing stinks. It’s no fun. This is more the reality of the NBA. … The last five years we’ve been living in a world that isn’t supposed to exist. Five years of, if I remember, the best record anybody’s ever had over five years. So this is reality, nine guys 23 or younger, and we’re starting over in many respects.”

With the free-agent departure of scorer Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets, and the absence of All-Star wing Klay Thompson, who is recovering from a torn ACL, the Warriors’ season will provide plenty of highs and lows while the team searches for their identity with so many new, and young players.
