In only a few short weeks, Gardner Minshew has managed to transcend from a mere late-round draft pick into a full fledged icon to the residents and football fans of Jacksonville, Florida. Now, the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to capitalize on the hype surrounding the popular backup quarterback too.
Recently, the team released it’s “Minshew Mania Mini Pack” for sale to the mass public. The promotion draws from Minshew’s likeness and includes both a mustache and a headband, while adding a pair of tickets to a Jaguars home game and an opportunity for buyers to have their picture taken on TIAA Bank Field.
The package has different price tag options that range anywhere from $41 to $600. The tickets can be selected for one of the Jags’ next two home games–either October 13th against the New Orleans Saints or Oct. 27 when they play host to the New York Jets. The promotional package can be purchased on the teams website.
Minshew replaced injured starter Nick Foles during the first half of Jacksonville’s season opener, and since has managed to keep the Jags winning percentage at .500 while displaying efficiency and accuracy in the team’s passing game. The former Washington State QB has displayed great maturity, and at this point may be brewing a controversy regarding who will be the best option at quarterback when Foles returns from his injury.
